چکیده
We give an informal introduction to the most basic techniques used to evaluate moments on the critical line of the Riemann zeta-function and to find asymptotics for sums of arithmetic functions.

Modular Forms and Applications in Number Theory
Modular forms are complex analytic objects, but they also have many intimate connections with number theory. This paper introduces some of the basic results on modular forms, and explores some of their uses in number theory.
متن کاملAnalytic Solution for Hypersonic Flow Past a Slender Elliptic Cone Using Second-Order Perturbation Approximations
An approximate analytical solution is obtained for hypersonic flow past a slender elliptic cone using second-order perturbation techniques in spherical coordinate systems. The analysis is based on perturbations of hypersonic flow past a circular cone aligned with the free stream, the perturbations stemming from the small cross-section eccentricity. By means of hypersonic approximations for the ...
متن کاملA Summary of the Cm Theory of Elliptic Curves
The purpose of this expository paper is to describe some part of the intimate connection between this analytic function, the theory of elliptic curves with complex multiplication, and the algebraic number theory of imaginary quadratic fields. In terms of prerequisites, we will assume some familiarity with the j-function and its connection with the analytic geometry of elliptic curves, some basi...
متن کاملAppendix. the Mellin Transform and Related Analytic Techniques
The Mellin transformation is a basic tool for analyzing the behavior of many important functions in mathematics and mathematical physics, such as the zeta functions occurring in number theory and in connection with various spectral problems. We describe it first in its simplest form and then explain how this basic definition can be extended to a much wider class of functions, important for many...
متن کاملSpecial Issue: "q-Series and Related Topics in Special Functions and Analytic Number Theory" - Foreword
It is indeed a fairly common practice for scientific research journals and scientific research periodicals to publish special issues as well as conference proceedings. Quite frequently, these special issues are devoted exclusively to specific topics and/or are dedicated respectfully to commemorate the celebrated works of renowned research scientists. The following Special Issue: " q-Series and ...
